I have a credit card with them, which has proved a good choice in spite of a few teething troubles. This premium is guaranteed to stay the same for the next 20 years and will pay out this amount if one of us were to die tomorrow or in 19 years time. It will also pay out if either of us are diagnosed with a terminal illness within this time period. This gives us the added security of knowing that we would be able to make ends meet under these circumstances.

Advantages: Cheap insurance Disadvantages: None as yet
...is until I read that Tesco had started offering Life Insurance services too. Their Life Insurance is underwritten by Norwich Union and offers a 16 per cent discount on the Norwich Union prices. So basically you get the same product but cheaper. The lowest monthly charge is 5 pounds so if you can find cheaper than that then you are doing well but I found that this was a pound or so cheaper than the other companies I contacted. ...

...cheap. I found out that Tesco life insurance was actually underwritten by Norwich Union. We also got a quote from Norwich Union but surprise surprise....the quote was more expensive than the one from Tesco.
We did several other checks on other companies and came to the conclusion that : Tesco Life insurance is really cheap and affordable. It may even be the cheapest one in the market. The website was extremely user friendly and efficently fast. ...

Advantages: Save money on your life insurance, 3 months free home insurance Disadvantages: I wish I new earlier
...had quoted my partner. Wow, yes we'll have that, what do we need to do?
No problems, lots of questions, but it only took about 10-15 mins, and the application is done. Great job done.
We saved alot on the monthly premium, my partner got quotes from Tesco, and Norwich Union and SOinsured were cheaper by a few quid which all adds up over a 25 year policy.
They cliam to offer discount lifeinsurance and they do. Norwich Union, Tesco and alot of other company's, can only quote one provider. So my advice allways read that small print at the bottom that tells you who's products they are selling.
They also told me I could get 3 months free Home insurance, would I like a quote. Yes, they beat my home insurance as well, and 3 months free, Great. If you want home insurance, i think you have to ring them, because you can't buy online...

Advantages: well known company with a good history/good rates of interest, offered as a good package to the customergood advertising of product Disadvantages: what a waste of time/application form very non explanitory/send you all the paperwork in a couple of weeks and make you feel secure/very slow on decision making
...as no further infomation was required, but i had to phone and chase that, suprise surprise it had been rejected some where on the maze of questions i did not put how much my house insurance was or my sky tv was but one question was ARE YOU A HOMEOWNER so its obvious we all have insurance and (sky and life insurane ,redudancy insurance, car insurance etc, etc, etc tescos are always sending info to try and get you to buy it) ,good ay you wait nearly 3 weeks with all these promises but gain nothing, tesco are quite happy to take £400.00 a month from me for food but when you complain about the finance side they say they are a completey different part of the company yet tesco name is all over there letters, not only that they have a signed bank mandate which they say is destroyed and you cant have back.
please note when you read the small print it appears...

Advantages: handy Disadvantages: is it a bank or a supermarket?
...with a plastic card whenever you like. Its easy access. This does make it easier to save. If you have a little extra cash after doing your shopping you can put it into your savings account.
You can set up an ISA account through Tesco and save paying tax on your savings, get you car insurance, home insurance and even lifeinsurance from just 20p per day. There's pet insurance, foreign exchanges services, and even travel insurance.
This all sounds very good but something about a supermarket setting up a financial services section bothers me. It doesn't quite feel right to buy myself an ISA and insure my house while I'm stacking up a trolley with milk, cereal and baked beans. I might be old fashioned but I wouldn't expect my bank to start offering me six eggs and a packet of soap powder, now would I?...

I really love 'The Life Collection' from David Attenborough. The complete series of 'Life in the Freezer' was the third dvd of the collection that I bought.
